FAQ's - Frequently Asked Questions

How do I confirm & pay for the booking?
You will be required to pay 20% of your total reservation to confirm your booking; the balance must be paid 60 days prior to arrival. Your booking is not confirmed until you receive a confirmation email re rates & availability from us. Please do not book flights until you receive confirmation of availability of the property you have chosen. Once we receive your deposit you will then be sent a deposit pack by email with information & details of our terms & conditions of rental.

Which is the nearest airport?
The nearest airport is Malaga (AGP) which is only 15 minutes away from Benalmadena, stretching to 1hr away from Marbella. You can fly into Gibraltar but you then have the hassle of crossing the border. Granada airport is again about 1 hour 15 mins from the Malaga area.

What are your Check in / Check out times?
Your accommodation is available after 4pm on day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on day of departure. The maid, gardener, pool man need this time to prepare the accommodation properly for incoming guests. If you arrive before 4pm, it may be possible to drop your luggage and return at 4pm.You will not be able to gain access to the accommodation until it has been fully cleaned & checked. Please remember that previous guests will still be in residence before 10am so no entry to the accommodation will be allowed before that time. Early check in & late check out can be arranged in advance at an extra cost. Please ask for details.

Can you arrange transport from the airport?
We can arrange car hire with collection at the airport or alternatively we can arrange a private transfer for you. If you hire a car you will have to collect your keys en route to the property and directions will be provided prior to arrival. If you arrange transfers the driver will have your keys and directions and take you directly to the property.

Are towels and linen provided at the accommodation?
All bedroom and bathroom linen is provided. You will need to take your own beach towels to use around the pool. Cot linen is not provided; please ensure you take your own.

Where will I collect the keys to my accommodation?

Details regarding your key collection will be sent to you with your travel documents two weeks prior to arrival and may vary according to your arrival time and how you will be travelling from the airport.

Is the price quoted for the whole property or per person and is there anything extra to pay?
The prices quoted are for the whole property NOT per person. There is nothing extra to pay (except for flights). The price includes linen, towels, water, electricity, a/c, heating, etc.

Will I need to pay a damage deposit for the apartment?
Yes, you are required to pay a damage deposit of 200.00 Euros with your final balance which is refundable after departure (less any damage costs incurred). Please inform us of any breakages or damage when they occur so we can rectify it as quickly as possible if necessary.

Are your properties equipped for disabled travellers?                                                           
We are not a specialist provider of accommodation for the disabled. Many properties are not equipped to cater for the needs of disabled guests and this may cause problems for wheelchair users. It is therefore essential that before booking you inform us of any special requirements so that we can advise you of the most suitable property for your needs.

Is there a weekly maid service?
Please note the maid service is carried out prior to your arrival and after departure only. If you are staying for two weeks an extra set of linen is provided. If you would like to arrange a clean mid-stay this can be arranged at an extra cost to you. This must be arranged in advance during peak months.

Do you supply a 'Welcome Pack', if so what is in it?
We can supply a basic welcome pack but it is chargeable - 45.00 Euros. Please ask for a list of items in the pack. These can be changed within reason to suit your requirements.

What T.V channels can I receive?
Where Satellite T.V. is listed as an amenity at a property a decoder is supplied to receive a selection of English speaking channels - for SKY systems this is usually BBC1, BBC2, ITV, CH4 & CH5 and possibly a few others but you will not have full packages like sports or movies. Reception is not as good as in the UK and high winds or heavy rain can result in “no satellite signal being received”. If this happens you must simply wait for the weather to pass.

Do I need to bring a Hair Dryer, Iron etc?
Expect to find what you have at home – most properties have hair dryers, irons, ironing boards etc. Most also have washing machines & dishwashers. A list of amenities available at each property is listed on the property page under the description. Please ask if you are not sure.
Will I need to take travel adaptor plugs?
Yes – the accommodation will be fitted with local plug sockets so you will need to provide your own adaptors for any electrical items you bring with you.

Is there a telephone?
No, telephones are not provided in any of our properties. If you have a mobile and you want to keep in touch with home bring it with you - all work very well in Spain.

How can I connect to the Internet?
There are numerous Internet cafes in all areas. We also now have a few properties with Wi-Fi broadband, at these properties you will need to bring your own laptop. Please ask for details.

Can I drink the water?                                                                                                                                
The tap water on the Costa del Sol is clean and safe to drink. However, some areas have a higher sodium or calcium content and may taste bitter to some. We generally recommend you stock up on bottled water for drinking at the local supermarket.

Can the changeover day be varied?
We can offer any changeover day at most of our properties and any duration (minimum 3 nights). To calculate the price simply pro-rata the weekly rate i.e. for less than 7 nights we bill 1 extra night to cover the overheads 4 nights are charged as 5 nights, 5 nights charged as 6 nights and so forth. For 7 nights and over we charge just for the actual number of nights booked.

Is there a discount for longer lets?                                                                                            
For stays of 4 weeks or longer in the winter please ask for any discounts available.

Will I have a local contact if I need help or in case of an emergency?                                                                                   
Yes, you will be provided with the name and local phone number of our representative who you can call if you have any unforeseen problems or if you require advice on anything. Outside business hours, IN CASE OF EMERGENCY ONLY, guests will be provided with the emergency number on arrival.

Can you arrange flights?
No we do not arrange flights. If you are flying from the UK or Ireland please ask for details of operators flying to Malaga from your nearest airport and we can supply a list.
